Kz is the acronym for Korallen Zucht, which means "coral cultivation". The KZ company is located in Ebersdorf, Germany. Kz is particularly renowned for enhancing the coloration of corals by influencing the levels of certain trace elements and simultaneously creating oligotrophy in nutrients, which has the advantage of recreating ecosystems similar to those found near Nouméa, for example (the lagoons experience rainfall that flows over metal-rich volcanoes). The result is much more colorful corals, but they do not easily tolerate changes.
