For a quarter of a century, the parent company has specialized in manufacturing products that direct high-speed laser beams into tiny hair-sized fiber optic cables for the telecommunications, defense/military, and biomedical sectors. In the early 2000s, DiCon realized that the transition to LEDs was imminent and invested heavily in the technology. Consequently, two other business units were created: DiCon LED pushes the forefront of this movement with its exclusive high-density LED array, and DiCon Lighting applies the platform in luminaires for the architectural and entertainment industries. Today, each of DiCon's business divisions is a recognized leader in its respective field, designing and manufacturing quality products with differentiating technology, advancing knowledge in photonics through continuous research, and establishing customer relationships with top-notch service.

Kessil brought together a team of product designers, plant biologists, and lighting engineers, all experts in their fields of study, to produce a plant light distinctly different from all others. With particular attention to the mechanical, electrical, thermal, and optical aspects of the product, it is smaller, smarter, cooler, and brighter. Our grow light is not just the best in its category; it belongs to a completely distinct category. Kessil's own internal LED capability allows us to create special wavelengths on our patented LED platform. We are also able to innovate quickly thanks to our vertical integration capabilities.
