Overview
SeaGel ™ is a blend of MatrixCarbon ™ and PhosGuard ™, specifically optimized for aquariums where the removal of organic color bodies and acids is necessary without introducing phosphate. MatrixCarbon ™ is an ultra-capacity carbon for removing organic and colored impurities. PhosGuard ™ is a powerful remover of phosphate, silicate, toxic metals, and acids. Both components are bead-shaped for optimal water flow characteristics and penetration. The components reinforce each other and are ideal for reef and marine use. SeaGel ™ can also be used in freshwater not buffered with phosphate.
SeaGel ™ is specifically optimized for aquariums where the removal of organic bodies and acids is necessary without introducing phosphate.
Although MatrixCarbon ™ has the lowest detectable leachable phosphate content of all major carbon brands tested, some phosphate is still released. Adding PhosGuard ™ to the mix compensates for this.
