Acropora formosa Green/Blue common name: Staghorn coral. Acropora formosa are excellent reef builders and are among the fastest-growing hard corals.

Acropora literally means a porous stem or branch. The colonies can resemble staghorns and can reach up to two meters in height and 3 meters in diameter. If your parameters are correct, Acropora formosa can grow about 20 cm per year.

Note: With 368 known species of Acropora and such a wide range of shapes, sizes, and colors, identification can be a tricky task if the species is rare.
