Fully synthetic sea salt created for aquaculture corals. This formula is designed to create the best conditions for marine animals. The micro-nutrients and macro-nutrients contained in Aquaforest PROBIOTIC Reef Salt meet the demands of corals for proper growth and pigmentation. After dissolving the salt, your freshly prepared seawater can be used immediately. The salt mix is enriched with amino acids and vitamin C. The addition of vitamin C promotes growth and has positive effects on the overall health of all aquarium inhabitants.

Preparation

- Dissolve the salt in pre-prepared demineralized water.

- The water temperature should be around 24°C (75°F). For a salinity of 33 ppt (1.025 SG), dissolve approximately 390 g (13.75 oz) in 10 l (2.7 US gal) of water.

- Stir the solution vigorously for about 15 minutes.

- Once the salt is completely dissolved and the solution is clear, the saline water is ready to use.

Store the salt in a dry, dark place. Once dissolved, use the salt within 5 days. Evaporation can alter water parameters, so keep freshly mixed saltwater in a sealed container if not using it right away. You should recheck the salinity of your saltwater before using if you store it for a few days.

How is our Marine Salt product range tested?

We mix our sea salt (each batch of 1 ton - 2204 pounds), take 3 separate samples from each batch to test at the production stage. Each of these samples is dissolved in 15 liters (4 US gal) of osmosis water. Our team performs an ICP-OES analysis to verify if the chemical composition is homogeneous and to exclude the presence of undesirable impurities. Note: Even though the salt is carefully mixed, the composition of the packages/containers may not be identical. The parameters in the containers may vary slightly and a difference of 2 to 3% is acceptable. These variations are due to the different physical properties of the mixture and the limitations of available processing techniques. Measurement variations, however, are below the typical tolerance range for tests commonly used by hobbyists.
