Iodum 50ml - Aquaforest

Description

Supplement containing concentrated iodine. In marine aquariums, iodine is crucial for the general functioning of cells and the transfer of nutrients between them. Iodine is constantly consumed by the tank inhabitants, therefore, without supplementation, its level decreases rapidly.

Iodine is used by corals to synthesize pigments that allow them to adapt to varying lighting conditions and to protect fragile coral tissues from UV rays. Iodine intensifies the dark blue and purple coloration of hard corals. An appropriate iodine content in the seawater tank supports shrimp molting. Regular iodine dosing maintains the iodine content at the same level as in natural seawater.

The recommended iodine level in aquarium water is 0.05 to 0.07 mg/l (ppm).

Dosage

- 10 ml of the product increases the iodine level by 0.1 mg/l (ppm) in 100 liters (27 US gal) of water.

- The recommended iodine level in aquarium water is 0.055 to 0.07 mg/l (ppm).

- Recommended dosage: 1 ml / 100 l (27 US gal) of water per day

The dosage should be based on the consumption of trace elements. Note that every aquarium is different and the final dosage depends on coral melt and the individual needs of the aquarium. The deficiency and excess of micronutrients will affect the aquarium inhabitants, therefore, the dosage should be selected and modified based on regular water tests by the Aquaforest laboratory.
