Description
The chemical composition of component 1 + 2 + 3 + is based on the method developed by H. Balling. The formula was developed in our laboratory and enriched with essential trace elements to maintain marine aquarium organisms in good health.
As a result, we have composed 3 fluids intended to be dosed in equal quantities on a regular basis. Component 1 + 2 + 3 + is designed to meet the needs of corals not only in terms of magnesium and calcium but also in terms of other elements that require careful and systematic dosing, but are notoriously difficult to evaluate.
Dosage
Should be adjusted based on the consumption of macronutrients and according to critical water parameters such as calcium, magnesium, and KH. If one or two parameters are still not balanced, we recommend continuing to administer equal doses of each component and using one of our additives (Calcium, Magnesium, KH Buffer) to restore the desired level(s).
In order to maintain an adequate amount of trace elements in aquarium water, magnesium and calcium levels should be within the recommended range (Ca 380-460 ppm, Mg 1180-1460 ppm).
A typical aquarium with an average number of hard corals requires approximately 25 ml of each component per 100 l (27 US gal) of water per day.
- Component 1+ contains: Ca, Sr, Ba, Co, Mn, Cu, Fe, Zn, Ni, Cr. (25 ml dissolved in 100 l / 27 US gal increases Ca by 4.5 ppm).
- Component 2+ contains: NaHCO3, F, I. (25 ml dissolved in 100 l / 27 US gal raises KH by 0.65 dKH (Alk: 0.23 meq / l)).
- Component 3+ contains: Mg, reef mineral salt, K, and B. (25 ml dissolved in 100 l / 27 US gal increases Mg by 0.38 ppm).
- Component 3 contains reef mineral salt necessary for stabilizing aquarium parameters.
FAQ
I was dosing component 1+ 2+ 3+ in equal doses and magnesium went up to 1600+. I stopped dosing and now it is stabilizing. What do you recommend?
You should base the dosage of component 1+ 2+ 3+ on the element that is consumed the least. If the consumption of magnesium - Component 3+ is less than the consumption of Ca and KH, you should base the dose on magnesium. For example, if the consumption is 5 ml per day, you set it as the base dose of component 1+ 2+ 3+ and supplement the missing elements with Ca Plus and KH Plus.
