Magnesium 750g - Aquaforest

Description

An agent to increase magnesium levels in reef aquariums. Magnesium is essential for the proper development of corals. A reduced magnesium level can lead to an inability to maintain an appropriate calcium level and a too-low pH. The recommended magnesium level in reef aquariums is 1180 to 1460 mg/l (ppm).

Dosage

Dissolve 10 g in 1000 ml of RODI water.

The dosage should be determined by the results of your water tests and the daily consumption of corals.

Before applying a magnesium solution to the water, it is recommended to perform a water test to check the current water parameters.

100 ml of magnesium solution in 100 l of water increases the magnesium level by 1.2 mg/l (ppm).

We do not recommend increasing the magnesium level by more than 50 ppm per day.

To maintain ionic balance, KH buffer and reef mineral salt should also be applied.

Magnesium and calcium or reef mineral salt can be combined into a single solution. Contains MgCl2x6H2O.

Recommendations

- Keep out of reach of children.

- Product for aquarium use only.

- Not suitable for human consumption.

FAQ

Can I dilute your calcium, KH buffer, and magnesium with less water to get a stronger solution? If so, what is the limit? The reason is that my tank doesn't evaporate much, and if I use the recommended dose, I'll be adding a lot of water to my tank.

Yes, it is possible to make stronger solutions of calcium and magnesium. To keep it safe, we recommend preparing doses with a maximum of 2 or 3 times the strength. A higher concentration solution can clog the pump. The KH buffer is a saturated solution, so you cannot achieve a higher concentration.
