Originating from New Guinea, the Vallisneria gigantea is an aquatic plant with long leaves that can reach up to 2 meters in length. Therefore, this plant is perfectly suited for placement at the bottom of an aquarium. Even though its leaves need to be trimmed regularly to prevent overgrowth, it provides an adequate environment for your fish, particularly discus and angelfish.
The recommended parameters for Vallisneria gigantea are water temperatures between 18°C and 28°C and a pH between 6.5 and 7. It requires significant lighting.
