En savoir plus
The Lobelia cardinalis is a plant that thrives on the American continent. Even though it originally comes from Canadian waters, it is now possible to find it in South America. Often, it grows in marshy or very humid areas. When submerged, the plant has a large stem to which small thick leaves are attached. This form is the most popular in aquariums.
To maintain the plant, a 300 L aquarium is necessary. The water temperature can range between 8° and 22°C, with a pH between 6 and 7.5. Regardless of the position of the Lobelia cardinalis, it requires a very intense light source that is beneficial for its growth, which is rather slow. With the right parameters, it can reach a height of about 50 cm.
