En savoir plus
Measuring up to 14 cm, the Salarias fasciatus has green and brown scales that mimic the texture of the stones it encounters to blend in. Solitary, it daily occupies the depths and adapts to any type of current. Even though it is territorial, it tolerates the presence of many species and remains peaceful. Be careful, as it is more aggressive with other blennies, however.
A 200L aquarium is the minimum requirement for maintaining this species. For good conditions, the water temperature should be between 25°C and 27°C, and the pH between 8.2 and 8.4. Omnivorous with a tendency towards algae-eating, the Salarias fasciatus is incompatible with plants. Species that are little or not territorial are perfect tank mates for this specimen.
Salarias fasciatus Common Name: Striped Blenny Fish. This fish has an elongated gray body. It is a robust fish ideal for fish-only or large reef aquariums.
It is not sensitive to temperature variations or even maintenance conditions. This fish eats the algae in the aquarium and thus helps in cleaning it.
