En savoir plus
The Chaetodon kleinii, also known as Klein's butterflyfish, is a yellow specimen with a gray head striped with black bands. Its anal fins feature a very fine light blue edging that is quite striking. Measuring about a dozen centimeters, its body is circular and laterally compressed. This fish lives in groups or alone near coral reefs, where it searches for food.
For aquarium maintenance, a minimum water volume of 500L is required, as well as a temperature between 23°C and 27°C. The pH should be between 8.2 and 8.4. The Chaetodon kleinii particularly appreciates environments rich in live rocks and moderate currents. Peaceful, it mostly ignores other tank occupants. Omnivorous, this fish consumes zooplankton but mainly eats soft coral polyps.
Common name: Klein's butterflyfish. This fish has a yellowish elliptical body. It is easy to feed as it eats a bit of everything, including coral polyps, so it is reserved for a fish-only tank. It needs an aquarium rich in algal vegetation.
