En savoir plus

The Chaetodon citrinellus is a lemon-colored butterflyfish. Indeed, with its white and yellow body, it is covered with a multitude of tiny blue dots. As with many specimens of its genus, a large black stripe is visible on its head. Measuring about 13 cm, this fish is found in the Indo-Pacific region, specifically near reef slopes and flats.

For maintenance, an aquarium of at least 200L is recommended. To respect the living conditions of the Chaetodon citrinellus, maintain water temperatures between 23° and 28°C and a pH between 8 and 8.5. One of the specificities of this butterflyfish is that it is one of the few that can be associated with SPS corals. This is because it only consumes soft corals, which limits the risks of degradation. Whether alone, in pairs, or in small groups, the Chaetodon citrinellus is very non-aggressive towards other animals and tolerates their presence without any issues.

Common name: Lemon Chaetodon Fish. This fish has a white body, punctuated with yellow, and a black stripe crossing its eyes.
