Metallic gray with black stripes, Chaetodon octofasciatus belongs to the butterflyfish family. Its shape is rather oval and its body is laterally compressed. It generally lives in groups or pairs not far from reef slopes. We find this specimen in the Indo-Pacific zone.
When maintaining Chaetodon octofasciatus, the volume of water allocated to it should be at least 450L. The water temperature should be between 23°C and 28°C, and the pH between 8 and 8.5. Inter-species relationships are quite good with this fish. Live rocks and plants should be included in the aquarium for the well-being of your animal.
