En savoir plus

The Chaetodon punctatofasciatus, or Spotted and Lined Butterflyfish, is a yellow, white, and black butterflyfish. Common in the Western Pacific region, this specimen only measures about 9 to 10 cm, even for larger individuals. This fish frequents coral reefs in search of food.

In an aquarium, a tank of 200L to 450L is a suitable base for the Chaetodon punctatofasciatus. The water temperature should be between 23° and 27° and the pH between 8 and 8.5. This specimen exhibits peaceful and calm behavior. Additionally, feeding it is very easy as it accepts various types of food, such as flakes and pellets, small animal prey, crustaceans, etc. However, monitor their feeding phases as food competition can arise, caused by the slow feeding behavior of the Chaetodon punctatofasciatus.

Common name: Spotted and Lined Butterflyfish. This fish has an elliptical body that is yellow, with black bands on the upper part and black spots on the lower part.
