CERPOFOR FEMSEE 100 ML / 500 L *
Femsee is effective against white spots and fungi. The white spot disease is recognizable by small white spots spread over the head and body. Fungi appear as cotton-like tufts ranging from white to green.

Cerpofor Femsee - Treatment against fungi and white spot disease

Volume Assessment

To determine the precise volume of your aquarium in liters, use the formula: length x width x average depth in decimeters. Then, take into account the volume occupied by plants, stones, fossil wood, sand, etc. Generally, this represents about 10% of the volume, but in very well-stocked tanks, this proportion can reach 30%.

Product Details

Cerpofor Femsee is available in two sizes: 100 ml for 500 liters and 1,000 ml for 5,000 liters.

Water Quality

Water quality is crucial for the optimal effectiveness of medications and the rapid recovery of sick fish. Always test the water before and after treatment, and adjust the values if necessary.

Recommended Dosage and Usage

The recommended dosage is 1 ml of Cerpofor Femsee for 5 liters of aquarium water. Use the supplied doser to measure the required amount. Dissolve the dose in 1 liter of aquarium water before spreading it into the water. Activate the air pump. If an initial treatment is not sufficient, you can renew it using a half-dose on the second day, and on the third day if necessary.

Do not filter with carbon or zeolite, and disconnect UV lamps and equipment for 48 hours after administering the treatment. During the treatment, do not perform a water change. If necessary, dose 1 ml per 5 liters of tap water. You can keep the filter running.

Water Discoloration and Precautions

Cerpofor Femsee may color the water. To decolorize the water, perform weekly water changes (10-20%) one week after the last treatment. You can use activated carbon to accelerate decolorization.

Warning: This treatment is safe for invertebrates such as frogs, shrimp, freshwater crayfish, and snails. However, due to their sensitivity, we cannot guarantee this. Share your positive or negative experiences on www.colombo.nl or by email: info@colombo.nl.

Compatibility and Information

Cerpofor Femsee is designed for standard community aquariums with a pH between 7 and 8.5 and a KH of 4-8°DH. Special aquariums with different values may affect the effectiveness of Femsee. It is suitable only for freshwater aquarium fish. Store the product between 4 and 32°C in its box. Avoid contact with skin and eyes, and in case of ingestion, consult a doctor with the packaging or label at hand. This product may leave indelible stains on clothing and floors.

Information on Fungal Infections and White Spot Disease

Regarding fungi, wool-like growths can appear on the skin or gills of fish. These symptoms are often caused by the species Saprolegnia. Fungal infections can spread on the skin and penetrate the muscle tissues and organs, eventually leading to death.

White spot disease is caused by Ichthyophthirius multifiliis. It more easily affects weakened fish, for example, in cases of overpopulation, after transportation, or the introduction of new fish. Affected fish exhibit white spots of 0.1 to 1 mm spread out or grouped on the skin. They may rub against plants or stones and flap their fins restlessly. Losing a large amount of skin or suffering gill damage can eventually cause the fish to suffocate and die.
