Deliveries (deadlines)

As soon as the order is validated (status = payment accepted) the LLC RecifAtHome commits to delivering all the items ordered by the customer to its carrier within 24 business hours, unless the customer has ordered one or more items for which the delivery time is longer (in this case, the delivery time is clearly stated in the product description). The package containing the material will only be shipped when it is complete. In the event of different delivery times for products in the same order, the latest date will be considered for the entire order.

Our policy is to deliver animals in the best possible conditions, which is why we use high-quality carriers and boxes. Warranty:

In the event of non-compliance of a sold product, it may be returned to the seller who will take it back, exchange it, or refund it. Transport guarantee for living beings

Fish and invertebrates travel better in groups! Please do not order a single animal. In case of breakage or non-compliances observed upon delivery and confirmed by our carrier, we can only guarantee the animals if the following instructions have been precisely followed: 1. Accurately fill out the delivery note from the carrier with the mention "species name = dead." 2. Send us a copy of the signed delivery note via email within 24 hours, accompanied by a photo of the deceased individual(s) placed outside of the water on a flat surface, with the delivery note visible. We will reimburse the value of the loss in the form of a voucher valid for one year from the date of issuance. Note: The mentions "subject to inspection" or "upon unpacking" are not taken into consideration.

As stipulated in all the product descriptions on our website, orders for live animals must meet these two criteria:
- The minimum amount of animals in your live order must be over €50 excluding shipping fees.
- For the well-being of the animals, do not make them travel alone (do not order a single animal).
An order that does not comply with these different points leads to thermal risks and additional costs.
There will be no guarantee on the delivery if either of these two criteria is not met.

7-day Alive Guarantee

To benefit from the Vivant guarantee, it is imperative to contact us to conduct a compatibility study before each order. We commit to delivering the animals alive and viable for 7 days; beyond this period, due to the varying skills of each individual, the responsibility for the animals falls on the buyer. However, this guarantee is limited to transport for particularly fragile species, including hard corals, certain invertebrates, and fish. Additionally, we cannot be held responsible for improper acclimatization not adhering to the recommended guidelines in the acclimatization section. Furthermore, if an animal dies under the guarantee conditions, we will issue a refund in the form of a store credit. It is essential to return the original photo(s) of the dead individual(s) placed outside of the water on a flat surface with the delivery note visible.


Hardware Warranty

The warranty applicable to the equipment is the "manufacturer" warranty available on the manufacturer's website or upon request from Recifathome customer service. However, certain items will need to be returned to us in order to implement this warranty. In this case, the return will be made by postal service at the buyer's expense. Procedure for acclimating fish upon arrival

During transport, fish packaged in individual bags pollute their transport water in two different ways:
  • Through respiration, the resulting production of CO2 acidifies the environment. The pH, which initially ranges between 8.3 and 8.5, decreases to reach values between 6.8 and 7.4.
