En savoir plus

The Percnon gibbesi, which closely resembles the Percnon planissimum, is a crab found in the Caribbean. Originally from the Eastern Atlantic zone, the Percnon gibbesi has a very flat red and brown body. Some green lines can also be visible. This specimen prefers areas with stones and cavities, where it takes refuge in case of danger. This crab is an excellent algae eater and is active both day and night. It is not very shy and is beneficial in a reef aquarium. It may arrive missing one of its claws or legs due to the stress during fishing. This is absolutely not harmful as it will regrow after a few molts.
