En savoir plus
Also called "Blue-green Chromis," the Chromis viridis is a fish native to South Asia and Oceania. Measuring 5 to 8 cm, its scales are predominantly blue, with shades leaning towards green. Its oval and unicolored body makes it recognizable. The female is also smaller than the male. Preferring areas rich in corals, this fish inhabits them in schools. Additionally, it generally favors waters with a moderate current. Calm and very non-territorial, it can, however, become aggressive towards other species.
To maintain the Chromis viridis, a minimum 200L aquarium is necessary, as well as water between 22°C and 28°C. Regarding pH, it should be between 8.2 and 8.4. In captivity, this specimen is minimally aggressive and remains robust. A single individual can be introduced into the tank. However, if you wish to maintain a school, 20 to 50 individuals are recommended to preserve group balance. Moreover, an aquarium of at least 5000L is strongly recommended.
