En savoir plus
The Chrysiptera parasema is a predominantly blue fish. Unlike the Blue Damsel, this specimen only has a yellow tail. This small species, generally not exceeding 7 cm, frequents coral reefs. Often, we can encounter it near the bottoms, distributed in small groups of individuals. Territorial, this animal has a rather lively temperament. Additionally, it follows a protogynous hermaphroditic mode of reproduction.
If you wish to acclimate it, a minimum 200L aquarium is necessary to introduce 5 or more individuals, thus respecting the schooling habits of the Chrysiptera parasema. A water temperature of 22° to 26° and a pH between 8.2 and 8.4 are suitable for this specimen. Since the Yellowtail Damsel is very temperamental, it is absolutely essential to consider the available territories for your fish within the aquarium. Cohabitation with other territorial animals obviously requires a larger space, so that each species can define its own sector.
Common name: Yellowtail Damsel. This fish has an intensely blue oval body with a yellow caudal peduncle. It is advisable to form a school of at least 5 individuals so that a hierarchy can be established. It is recommended to have an aquarium rich in decor to prevent the damsels from quarreling.
