En savoir plus
The Chrysiptera hemicyanea is a predominantly blue fish, with a yellow belly and caudal fin. This small-sized species, generally not exceeding 7 cm, frequents coral reefs. Often, we can encounter it near the seabed, distributed in small groups of individuals. Territorial, this animal has a rather lively temperament. Additionally, it follows a protogynous hermaphroditic reproduction mode.
If you wish to acclimate it, a minimum 100L aquarium is necessary to introduce 5 or more individuals, thus respecting the schooling habits of the Chrysiptera hemicyanea. A water temperature of 23° to 29° and a pH between 8 and 8.5 suit this specimen. The sky-blue damselfish being very temperamental, it is absolutely essential to consider the available territories for your fish within the aquarium. Cohabitation with other territorial animals obviously requires a larger space, so each species can define its own sector.
Common name: Sky-blue azure damselfish. This fish has a blue body with yellow on the belly from the head to the tail. It is necessary to form a school of at least 5 individuals for a hierarchy to be established. It is recommended to have a decor-rich aquarium to prevent the damselfish from quarreling. This fish is recommended for beginners.
