The Dascyllus trimaculatus, or "Three Spot Damselfish," is a dark brown fish with three white spots on its sides, as well as a particularly arched back. Juveniles have the unique trait of cohabiting with clownfish within anemones, including Cryptodendrum adhaesivum. Native to the Indo-Pacific, this animal inhabits coral reefs and rock-rich areas.
For quality maintenance, an aquarium of around 300L is required. The water temperature should be maintained between 23° and 28°C and the pH between 8 and 8.5. Juvenile Cryptodendrum adhaesivum maintains beneficial relationships with anemones and sea urchins. Being omnivorous, it is easy to feed in captivity and consumes algae, crustaceans, and copepods.
Common name: Three Spot Damselfish. This fish has a stout, oval-shaped black body with three white spots. It is recommended to form a school of at least 5 individuals to establish a hierarchy. It is advised to have an aquarium rich in decorations to prevent the damselfish from quarreling. This fish is recommended for beginners.
