DENNERLE - NANO CARBO ELIXIER BIO 100 ML
LIQUID CARBONIC FERTILIZER BASED ON NATURAL COMPONENTS
Description
CARBON – THE BASIS OF LIFE
Carbon is the most important nutrient for aquarium plants. Nearly 40% of the dry mass of plants consists of carbon. Carbon (carbon dioxide) is generally absent from aquariums – consequence: poor plant growth. And when plants grow poorly, parasitic algae seize their opportunity.
The fertilizer Dennerle Carbo provides readily available carbon quickly and efficiently to all aquarium plants. All plants, from mosses to fast-growing stem plants, including echinodorus and cryptocorynes, become fuller and stronger. Their leaves grow larger, and their colors intensify. The result is already visible after just a few weeks—monitor the new shoots and young leaves. Thanks to healthy and vigorous growth, the plants become a powerful competitor against algae. Unwanted algae are repelled. The entire aquarium looks healthier, greener, and more beautiful.
The fertilizer Dennerle Carbo provides a simple and safe alternative to technical CO2 fertilization systems. However, the products can also be used in combination with CO2 fertilization systems and additionally stimulate plant growth. Carbo fertilizers are easy to use and biologically well-tolerated by all aquarium inhabitants when dosed and used correctly (fish, shrimp, crayfish, snails, etc.).
Operation
The metabolism of plants is based on photosynthesis. During this biochemical process, solar energy is "collected" and stored in energy-rich carbon compounds. Sugar, for instance, is one of these energy-rich compounds used by the plant either (a) as a universal energy source or (b) for the production of other compounds. To continue with the example of sugar: the plant can
"burn" the sugar in its cells and trigger other metabolic processes with the released energy. Alternatively, it can transform the sugar into cellulose, for example. Cellulose is the component that gives trees their rigidity and is made up of long chains of sugar.
How can the plant transform the elements between them ?
The citric acid cycle, also known as the Krebs cycle, is the central metabolic pathway of plants. The citric acid cycle functions somewhat like a factory. Here, various elements are channeled, and the necessary components are produced. Through this metabolic pathway, plants can produce the main carbon compounds essential for life: carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, secondary plant elements, etc.
This is precisely where Carbo fertilizers come into play. These products contain active ingredients that are present in this form or in a similar form within the metabolism of plants. The active ingredients are absorbed by the plant and used in the cells as basic components to produce other complex compounds or as a source of energy.
Thanks to this additional input, the plant grows faster and is more vigorous.
To this is added another positive effect: all organic components, that is, all those based on carbon, are degradable in a bacterial manner. The filtration bacteria feed on them. In the end, only carbon dioxide (CO2) and water remain. The components of Carbo fertilizers are also biodegradable. During
The use of this carbon-enriched liquid fertilizer always results in a bit of CO2 being produced. And this CO2 is used by the plants.
Carbo fertilizers provide plants with essential carbon in two ways. As previously mentioned, the effect is already visible after just a few weeks of regular use: plant growth is faster, more vigorous, and healthier, and algae are kept at bay.
