Description

Masstick® is a natural food for fish and invertebrates (corals, crustaceans, mollusks, sponges, etc.)

It is a blend of various totally natural marine-origin compounds, highly technical and intended for the balanced and natural feeding of omnivorous fish and marine invertebrates.

It does not contain any compounds of terrestrial or freshwater animal or plant origin, attractants, artificial preservatives, or synthetic products.

Why is it different?

Masstick® is a self-adhesive paste that comes in powder form, ready to be rehydrated. The rehydratable powder presentation allows Masstick® to be filled with mollusk or crustacean pulp, fish eggs, mollusks or crustaceans, brine shrimp, mysids, copepods, rotifers, and orally administrable medications.

Once prepared and introduced into the aquarium, Masstick® does not disperse in the water for hours, so it is fully utilized by fish and crustaceans. This feature allows it to be used in "ad libitum" or rationed feeding mode.

Since it is a food prepared mainly from lyophilized crustaceans and does not contain fish skeletons, it is a very low-phosphate food. Masstick contains microalgae (Phaeodactylum tricornutum, Nannochloropsys gaditana, Tetraselmis chui, and Isochrysis galvana) and crustaceans (Palaemonetes varians).

A single species of microalgae does not provide all the nutritional needs, so it is necessary to provide several species to achieve the correct nutritional balance. It also includes a crustacean without fluoride content in its shell.

Effects

As a side effect, it causes an increase in microfauna in invertebrate aquariums (especially zooplankton and small feather dusters) which are ultimately the food for many corals and fish.

Similarly, marine phytoplankton is a very complete food as it contains vitamins, essential fatty acids, amino acids, carbohydrates, and proteins necessary for the development of various organisms in aquariums.
