Ecotech Marine - Vortech MP10WQD

To generate flow in reef tanks, the VorTech® is unmatched in beauty and functionality.

Description

Flow without compromise

In an aquarium, having the right amount of flow is crucial for the health of the ecosystem. With VorTech® QuietDrive®, choosing the right water circulation equipment has never been easier.

Pumps are known by aquarists to be the benchmark for flow rate in marine aquariums. When it comes to a wide but gentle flow, the VorTech design is unmatched.

- Create a massive movement of water
- No coral damaging the "hot spots"
- Natural gyre
- Reservoir-scale flow models
- Precise control of water movement

Magnetic couple

At the heart of VorTech, the success of this product lies in its unique, patented, and magnetically coupled design.

- No distraction from the beauty of the tank and its inhabitants
- No wires in the aquarium
- No unwanted heat added to the water column
- No risk of harmful electric shock to people or marine life
- No hassle during the installation, moving, or cleaning of the motor head

Characteristics

It appears that "MP10wQD" is not a recognizable French phrase or word. It seems to be an alphanumeric code or a specific identifier, which typically does not require translation. If you have any additional context or a different text that you would like translated, please provide more details!

- Flow rate: 2500 gph (9500 lph)

- Power consumption: 8-19 watts

- Range of tanks: 2.5-50+ gal (9.5-190 liters)

- Maximum glass thickness: 9.5 mm (0.375 inches)

Different Modes

Flow

- Lagoon mode:
The Lagoon mode simulates a lagoon environment with low energy consumption. The pump speed is slowly adjusted to recreate the gentle currents of a lagoon.

- Reef Crest Mode:
The Reef Crest Random mode simulates a high-energy reef environment. The pump will frequently and dramatically change speed to mimic crashing waves and rising tides. It is a favorite for SPS coral.

- Gyre Mode:
The Gyre mode creates a flow pattern consisting of uniform flow rates in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions, pulsating at a selected interval between two seconds and two hours.

* The alternating directional gyre requires multiple pumps.

- Short pulse mode:
The Short Pulse mode creates a flow pattern consisting of uniform high and low levels pulsing at a selected interval between 0.2 seconds and 2 seconds.

- Tidal wave mode:
The Tidal Swell Mode (TSM) creates a harmonic balance that resembles the changing flow conditions found in nature. Over several hours, the flow pattern will transition from very chaotic to calm, followed by a push to remove debris at the very end of the cycle. The flow direction will change with each cycle.

- Mode of nutrient transport:
The nutrient transport mode (NTM) creates circulation in a two-phase program. The first phase uses wave motion to stir up detritus. The second phase follows with a push motion to move the detritus into the overflow and out of the aquarium. This mode promotes optimal health, nutrient export, and increased growth for sensitive corals such as SPS.

Function

- Power supply mode:
At the simple touch of a button, all wirelessly activated VorTech® pumps will temporarily pause their current mode and remain inactive, allowing food to be added to the tank without being cycled into the overflow and filtration.

- Night mode:
The pumps can be activated to run a gentler night program simulating calmer ocean conditions during nighttime hours.

- Automatic wave adjustment:
Create a standing wave in your aquarium and demonstrate the true power of the fully operational VorTech® QuietDrive® control system.

Skills

- Multi-pump communication:
All VorTech® pumps labeled "w" come with an RF module installed. The RF module allows up to 8 "w" pumps of any type to operate together in sync, anti-sync, or coordinated modes.

- EcoSmart® Live via a mobile device:

All VorTech® pumps referred to as "WQD" are compatible with ReefLink® and can be controlled using the MOBIUS app.

ReefLink provides completely wireless access to the world of EcoSmart Live, the web-based aquarium control center from EcoTech Marine®.

- Battery backup mode:

Snowstorm. Hurricane. A motorist hits a utility pole. Things happen. The power is cut off... VorTech® pumps are compatible with the EcoTech® backup battery accessory.

Battery

In an aquarium without water flow, the fish and corals can start to die in as little as 4 to 10 hours. The backup battery is a reef tank insurance encased in an aluminum housing.

By adding the backup battery, your tank is isolated from power outages, helping to protect your valuable investment and the inhabitants of your tank.

* The hours are estimated and vary depending on battery life, pump mode, and other factors.
** For better performance in return pump configuration, a Vectra backup battery booster is required.
