NPO Redu Pellets 1000 ml Fauna Marin
En savoir plus
NPO REDU PELLETS from Fauna Marin is made from a 100% biodegradable biopolymer specially developed for nutrient reduction and drinking water filtration. NPO REDU PELLETS helps to stabilize and control the nitrogen cycle by promoting the multiplication of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria. These bacteria feed on the pellets and reduce the concentration of nutrients in the aquarium. Nitrogen and phosphates are also reduced in the process, resulting in a regression of algae growth and the production of bacterioplankton for better coral nutrition. Pellet preparation: Determine the amount of pellets needed for your aquarium and soak them in tap water for about 24 hours. You can also pour boiling water over the pellets and let them sit for 2 hours before use.
Dosage: Start with 20 to 30 ml (15 to 20 g of dry weight) for 100 liters of aquarium water. The amount of pellets can be gradually increased up to 100 ml (about 70 g of dry weight) per 100 liters as needed. The aquarium water may become slightly cloudy in the first few days. This turbidity will disappear on its own after a few days. The first signs of nutrient reduction can be observed after 10 to 21 days by analyzing your water. It may take up to 8 to 12 weeks before you see apparent signs of coral health improvement. In the meantime, sudden increases or exceptionally high nutrient values may be noted. Do not pay attention to these values as this reaction is one of the effects of nutrient reduction through pellet filtration. After about 3 to 4 months, the water values will stabilize and remain within the desired concentration limits. Fauna Marin NPO REDU PELLETS allows for a slow and steady decrease in phosphates and nitrates. The higher the initial nutrient levels, the slower the nutrient reduction will be.
