Its reproduction is possible but considered complex in an aquarium. A pH of 6 and a temperature of 26°C are recommended if you want to encourage reproduction. This species follows an insectivorous diet. To maintain it in good conditions, we recommend a group of 10 or more in an aquarium with a minimum capacity of 80 liters. This fish is native to South America, from the Paraguay River basin. It has an approximate size of 2-3 cm when sold. In an aquarium, it swims at the surface and mid-water levels.
