The Angelfish - Pterophyllum scalare is a freshwater fish living at a temperature of 24 - 30°C and a pH of 6.0 to 8.0. Its reproduction is possible, and it feeds on worms, crustaceans, and plant matter. To keep it in good conditions, we recommend a group of 5 or more in an aquarium with a minimum length of 100 cm and a capacity of at least 300 L. This fish is native to South America: the Amazon basin, in Peru, Colombia, and Brazil. It thrives along the Ucayali, Solimões, and Amazon rivers; rivers of Amapá (Brazil), Rio Oyapock in French Guiana, Essequibo in Guyana. Its approximate size at sale is 3-4 cm.
