En savoir plus
Fish from the island of Madagascar, the Paretroplus menarambo generally lives in pairs at mid-depth. Rather lively but not very aggressive, this fish is still territorial. Therefore, it is advisable to keep the species with other non-territorial individuals to avoid conflicts within the aquarium.
Mollusc-eating, its diet consists of mollusks. Once adult, its size averages 20 centimeters, which requires a tank of at least 800 L to raise this fish. The water temperature should be maintained between 24° and 30°. The pH should be measured between 6.5 and 7.5. The reproduction of this fish in an aquarium is considered complex, as is the breeding of the Paretroplus menarambo itself.
