Macrotocinclus affinis (formerly Otocinclus affinis) is a freshwater fish from the Loricariidae family, native to Brazil. This small fish prefers acidic waters. A temperature around 26°C is a good compromise.
Otocinclus is primarily vegetarian with a tendency to eat algae. As such, it is an excellent ally in the fight against algae.
