En savoir plus

Originally from South America, this small fish does not exceed 3 cm in adulthood. Gregarious, it adopts a communal lifestyle which must be respected. Thus, it is recommended to include a dozen individuals in its aquarium to keep it company. Like other Corydoras, it searches for food at the bottom of the tank, in the reef sand. Therefore, it is entirely normal for it to spend a large part of its time in the lower part of the aquarium. For the latter, it is essential to choose a water volume equal to or greater than 100 L. In typical breeding conditions, the pepper and salt Corydoras has a lifespan sometimes exceeding 12 years. For good living conditions, a pH between 6.8 and 7.2 is recommended, as well as a temperature between 18 and 25°. Easy to maintain, this fish is perfectly suitable for beginners.
