En savoir plus

The Lamprologus duboisi is a fish originating from Central Africa, specifically Lake Tanganyika. Measuring between 10 to 12 cm, this specimen is capable of living for about a dozen years. Of an oval shape, it displays a deep black color covered with bluish spots. Adopting a diurnal lifestyle, this species lives in groups and does not hesitate to transform its environment through its activity. Also, be aware of the extremely territorial temperament of this fish, which does not tolerate intrusions by other species into its habitat. Additionally, dominant males have great difficulties cohabiting, leading to fights that can result in the death of some individuals.

To keep the Lamprologus duboisi in an aquarium, a very large volume of water is mandatory. As such, a tank of at least 800 liters is suitable. The water temperature should be between 23° and 28°. The pH, on the other hand, should be between 7.8 and 8.8. Calm under good conditions, it is absolutely necessary to be informed about the species and sexes tolerated by this fish.
