En savoir plus
The Garra flavatra is often found in relatively neutral waters in Asia. Highly appreciating well-oxygenated waters, it is never far from waterfalls. Indeed, riverbeds scattered with pebbles, rocks, and remnants of branches suit it perfectly. Being of a peaceful nature, it is recommended to house it with at least 5 other fish in a 150 L aquarium.
To provide it with a suitable environment, water temperatures between 22° and 25° are ideal, as well as a stabilized pH between 6.2 and 7.2. Additionally, create a moderate to strong current to meet its needs. With a diurnal lifestyle and reaching a size of 10 cm once adult, the Garra flavatra can live up to around ten years.
