En savoir plus
The Molly - Poecilia velifera is a freshwater fish mainly living in marshy areas or in slow-flowing streams of Mexico. Its size at sale is approximately 3 cm. Its reproduction is easy in an aquarium, as they are ovoviviparous; it feeds on worms, crustaceans, insects, and plants. Evolving close to the surface, this species with relatively calm behavior rarely concerns itself with other fish that cross its path.
To keep it in good conditions, we recommend a group of 5 or more in an aquarium with a minimum length of 80 cm. It is recommended to stabilize an aquarium at a temperature of 25° to 28° and a pH of 7 to 8. If you wish to feed with inert food, consult the suggestion tab below.
