The Inpaichthys kerri is a South American fish species from the family Characidae. It is the only species in the genus Inpaichthys. These fish live in schools in areas with strong currents, with a water temperature between 22° and 26° and a pH between 6.8 and 7.2. The substrate of their natural habitat is often composed of pebbles, sand, and humus. Operating at mid-depth, they prefer environments rich in potential hiding spots. Peaceful and easy to maintain, the Inpaichthys kerri requires a minimum of 80 liters of water to be comfortable. To facilitate maintenance in captivity, it is preferable to keep at least a dozen individuals together.
