En savoir plus
The Cephalopholis miniata is a grouper that is entirely red and covered with tiny blue spots. Its body is elongated and can sometimes reach 40 cm. Only its pectoral fins are free from blue spots. Most often, this specimen is found in the clear waters of the Indo-Pacific zone. In small groups or solitary, it defends its territory among the reefs.
The Cephalopholis miniata requires a minimum of 450L of water in an aquarium for quality maintenance. The water temperature should be between 23° and 28°, and the pH between 8 and 8.5. Carnivorous, it feeds on small fish and crustaceans. It is worth noting that it pairs perfectly with cleaner shrimp, who take care of the Cephalopholis miniata.
Common name: Miniata Grouper. This fish has an elongated red body with blue spots all over.
