For aquarium maintenance, a minimum water volume of 100L is recommended. Additionally, the water temperature should be maintained between 24° and 28°. The pH level should be between 8.2 and 8.4. A properly arranged space is necessary for the Synchiropus picturatus to establish a territory easily. Sociable, it maintains good relationships with most other species. However, cohabitation with very territorial or much larger specimens should be avoided to prevent stress to your animal.
