Plerogyra sinuosa, also known as bubble coral, is a species of hard coral from the Caryophylliidae family. This coral with its unique shapes will undoubtedly beautify your reef. For its well-being, it requires low water movement and medium lighting.
The species Plerogyra sinuosa belongs to the Plerogyridae family. It is recommended to feed it once a day with prey such as rotifers and Artemia nauplii of a size less than 0.5 cm, for example. Suitable for diligent beginner aquarists. Propagating Plerogyra sinuosa is impossible or very difficult. Light: medium, with a spectrum of about 14,000 to 20,000 K. Aggressiveness: medium. Current: medium. Water quality: we recommend a nitrate (NO3-) level between 4 and 10 mg/l, as well as a phosphate (PO4) level between 0.01 and 0.05 mg/l. Of course, Calcium (400-440 mg/l), Magnesium (1250-1350 mg/l), and KH (7.5 to 9°dKH) should be at the right levels. In conclusion, Plerogyra sinuosa is relatively easy to maintain if you provide reasonable lighting and water movement, as long as the parameters are correct.
