En savoir plus

Common name: Bennett's pufferfish.

The Canthigaster bennetti is similar to other Canthigaster species and should not be kept in an aquarium by someone unaware of the toxic nature of these species. In the wild, the Canthigaster bennetti eats algae, corals, and detritivores.

Its skin contains a toxin called tetrodotoxin that poisons its predators but can be fatal for all your fish in an aquarium. Oversizing your equipment as well as using active carbon filtration can help mitigate this problem.

We advise feeding it with shrimp, squid, mussels, large krill, and algae. This way, you can keep it in optimal health for many years.
