Overview


Pearl Beach™ is an all-natural aragonite substrate suitable for all types of marine, reef, and tropical aquariums. Its chemical composition helps stabilize calcium and alkalinity while preventing significant drops in pH levels. Unlike competing "wet" gravels, Pearl Beach™ is sold dry: this bag contains 35% more gravel than an equal-weight bag of wet gravel. These "wet" gravels are marketed to create the impression that they contain living microscopic organisms, when in fact they only contain common bacteria. Whether dry or wet, bacteria are present on every substrate. If one wishes to shorten the aquarium cycle time for a new system, using a product specifically designed for this purpose would be more appropriate (such as Stability by Seachem). Seachem®).

Install


Simply rinse before use to remove any residual dust.

When you add water to the aquarium, fill it slowly to avoid disturbing the Pearl Beach™ bed. Place a bowl in the aquarium and add water directly into the bowl, allowing the water to gently overflow onto the gravel bed. Initial cloudiness is normal. To eliminate the cloudiness, use mechanical filtration (such as filter floss). Use Clarity™ to speed up the cleaning process.
