Tonga Pearls are made of a completely new and unique calcareous material that has been manufactured under strictly controlled conditions. Its composition and crystalline structure correspond to natural coral sand. Due to its texture and very white appearance, Tonga Pearls are excellently suited as a substrate in marine aquariums.

Tonga Pearls are also optimal for invertebrates such as sea anemones, rose anemones, tube worms, as well as wrasses, because the animals can easily burrow into it. This substrate is also chewed by gobies. Tonga Pearls, with their crystalline structure, correspond to the calcareous skeleton of corals and thus form the basis of a perfectly functioning marine aquarium. Tonga Pearls are not fossil material. They are not obtained from rock quarrying or extracted from the sea, thus preserving natural resources and being free of impurities.

The structure of a grain is in the shape of beads approximately 1 to 2 mm in size.
