Common name: Babylonia. This snail is similar to the Nassarius but larger in size. It is an excellent scavenger, spending most of its time buried in the sand and emerging to devour the food remnants that the fish have not eaten. Ideal as a scavenger, it is harmless to fish and corals and is completely amphibious.
