En savoir plus
The Ctenochaetus tominiensis or "yellow-edged surgeonfish" is a fish measuring around fifteen centimeters. Its harmonious colors make it pleasant to observe, with a white caudal fin, yellow-orange dorsal fins, and a gray body. Generally, it accepts the presence of other acanthurids in its living space. However, in a tank that is too small, relationships between Ctenochaetus tominiensis and animals of its own species become complicated.
For aquarium maintenance, plan for a minimum water volume of 200L. Ensure the temperature is between 23°C and 28°C and the pH is between 8 and 8.5. For its diet, algae and detritus are perfectly suitable. Its environment should also include a sandy bottom and several rocks it can scrape if needed.
Common name: Tomini surgeonfish. This fish has an oval-shaped body, the outer part of its dorsal and anal fins is orange, and its caudal fin is white. It is an active fish, feeding on detritus and anything it can graze on live rocks and the substrate. It needs a good swimming space and is very resilient.
