INSTRUCTIONS:
1] Pour 5 ml of water into the test tube.
2] Add 5 drops of reagent 02-1 and stir gently for 20 seconds. Do not shake, as this could change the oxygen content of the water.
3] Add 5 drops of reagent O2-2 and stir gently for 15 seconds. Let it sit for 3 minutes if it's seawater or 1 minute for other types of water.
4] Add 5 drops of reagent O2-3. Stir for 5 seconds after each drop added. Wait 60 seconds for the color to develop.
5] Place the test tube above the color chart, on a white part, and compare the colors. An intermediate color corresponds to an intermediate oxygen concentration. Values are in mg/L (ppm) of oxygen.
Try to maintain 8 mg/L or more of oxygen in freshwater (aquarium or pond). In seawater, a concentration of at least 6 mg/L is recommended.

Some fish require higher concentrations.
