En savoir plus
The Siganus vulpinus is a rabbitfish predominantly yellow with a white and black head. Like other specimens of its species, its body is elongated and laterally compressed. Also nicknamed "foxface", it measures around 25 cm and roams coral reef areas.
In an aquarium, a minimum water volume of 450L is required, with a temperature between 23° and 28°. The pH should preferably be between 8 and 8.5. However, this species seems to be very resistant to variations in pH and salinity. Although relations between conspecifics are not always bad, coexistence with other species is much safer and considered trouble-free. This is because the Siganus vulpinus is extremely tolerant towards other animals and ignores them in most cases. Finally, this specimen is a herbivore, like all rabbitfish to which it belongs.
Common name: Foxface rabbitfish or foxface rabbitfish. This fish has a bright yellow elongated body, a black and white head, and is very representative of Siganus. It is a peaceful fish, totally indifferent to other fish, and can safely be placed with very small species. It requires a varied diet for its good health.
