Comline® Wavebox 6214

The Comline® Wavebox 6214 is a wave generator for aquariums with a capacity of 400 to 1400 liters, depending on the shape and layout of the aquarium. Its compact dimensions allow for discreet installation in the corner of the aquarium. The Comline® Wavebox 6214 uses the Turbelle® flow and the Turbelle® controller for its operation. Silicone pads on the wave generator prevent vibrations from being transferred to the aquarium glass. The integrated magnetic support allows you to easily attach the device anywhere in the aquarium with a wall thickness of up to 19 mm.

Is the Wavebox suitable for an aquarium with a drainage system?

With normal wave formation, only slight water movements occur in the middle of the aquarium (relative to the length). If possible, install a drain and water inlet here. The further this area is, the greater the water level differences. TUNZE® drains can operate with such variations without any problem, but noise may occur.

Can the Wavebox produce more waves?

Double waves can form in aquariums over two meters long. To achieve the necessary frequency, the single-wave resonance frequency must be divided by two. This can only be achieved with a larger Wavebox.

Is the Wavebox compatible with other Turbelle® pumps?

The Wavebox can be installed in an aquarium with Turbelle® pumps. The circular current created by the Turbelle® pumps and the impacts of the Wavebox wave overlap and create a strong pulsating circular current, similar to the biotope area of a reef roof.

Two Wavebox 6214 units are needed for tanks with a capacity of 2,000 L. Should two Waveboxes be placed side by side due to lack of space?

Two Waveboxes can be placed in two opposite corners of the aquarium, then they operate alternately. When one Wavebox is running, the other stops, and so on. This can be guided by the Wavecontroller 7092.
