The Gomphosus varius is a blue/green fish with slight yellow hues on the dorsal and pectoral fins. This wrasse fish also has a very elongated snout. It most often lives near coral reefs, searching for invertebrates, which they easily consume thanks to their jaw.

If you wish to acclimate this species, a minimum 400L aquarium is suitable. Additionally, it is preferable to maintain water with a temperature between 23° and 28°, as well as a pH between 8 and 8.5. Sheltering places must be provided for it, for example by creating artificial crevices or clusters of live rocks. Even though it can live in pairs, the Gomphosus varius is generally quite solitary.

Common name: Bird wrasse. This fish has a long green body and a long beak. It is an excellent swimmer. It is an excellent swimmer that needs a minimum 400L aquarium, with ample swimming space and numerous hiding spots. It should be fed a varied diet such as brine shrimp, shrimp, squid, mussels, and krill.
