En savoir plus
The Pseudocheilinus hexataenia, commonly known as the six-line wrasse, is a fish with blue and orange gradient hues, speckled with stripes of the same color. Its caudal fin is particularly distinctive, contrasting completely with the rest of the body with its standout green color and an ocellus that crowns it. Measuring up to about ten centimeters, this specimen roams shallow coral reefs in the Indo-Pacific region.
For quality maintenance, this species requires a minimum water volume of 400L. Additionally, the water temperature should be between 22° to 26° and the pH between 8.2 and 8.4. Add some branching corals to your tank so that the Pseudocheilinus hexataenia can take refuge there. Being quite shy by nature, it likes to hide to observe its environment. Peaceful and evolving in small groups or alone, it is perfectly suited to community aquariums. Be cautious as its carnivorous diet makes it incompatible with crustaceans.
Pseudocheilinus hexataenia common name: Wrasse fish. This fish has an orange and blue body traversed by 6 stripes. It is a very beautiful fish that swims and weaves between live rocks. For its well-being, it needs an aquarium with a decor rich in hiding places. To keep a pair, you need a 400-liter aquarium. This fish eats flatworms.
